The Island of the Gods is famed for its beaches, but not all sunbathing spots are equal. Geger Beach, just a 10-minute taxi ride from the Conrad Bali, is hands-down the most relaxed. Collapse in the powder white sand—or wade out into placid waters perfect for a swim, a stand up paddleboard session, or kayak ride (You can rent both from a number of seaside stands.) Refreshingly void of litter and touts, it’s a prime spot for seaweed farmers to comb the clear shallows for kelp. At low tide, roll up your sarong and wade right out to where the surf breaks, then head back to one of Greger's inviting beachfront café's for an ice-cold Bintang beer with your feet in the soft sand.
Geger Beach is a 10-minute drive north from the Conrad Bali. If you’re just there for an hour, ask the taxi to wait for you. Most drivers will charge 50,000 rupiah per hour to wait.
